Dr. Niladri Dasgupta, as Executive Director and Chair of the Board, steers the strategic vision for the company and its portfolio of deliverables, while mentoring a strong & diverse leadership team to drive its execution. Dr. Dasgupta, as a conservation & environmental scientist, has nearly two decades of experience in conservation & ecological restoration sector with leadership positions in national projects of the Wildlife Institute of India, National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Central Pollution Control Board, IUCN-SSC Turtle Survival Alliance-India and Terratribal ECS. He was instrumental in successfully completing a significant number of multilateral, international and nationally funded projects in hydro, solar, infrastructure, river & wetland conservation, biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration sectors. He was awarded ‘Outstanding Scientist’ from Ramsar Regional Centre – East Asia (RRC-EA), South Korea. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, and a Master & a Doctorate in Environmental Science, with over 30 research publications.
Dr. Chongpi Dasgupta is the Director Operations and brings into the table two decades of experience in ecology & biodiversity. Her extensive work with local communities & wildlife to improve the technology-development-conservation interface and bridge the gap between societal needs and environmental requisites, has provided practicable conservation solutions and replicable action templates that has revived many species as well as degraded habitats in critical biodiversity areas. Her 40+ research publications are making a difference in species conservation and community participation in North-eastern India. A Bachelor and Master in Botany, and Doctorate in Wildlife Sciences, she has held leadership positions in the Wildlife Institute of India and has worked closely with ICIMOD, IUCN Green List, IUCN-SSC Deer Specialist Group and CAMPA-Endangered Species Recovery Programme.
Ms. Bandana, a homemaker, a philanthropist and a visionary social reformist, paved the way for establishment of Terratribal ECS. Her heart always yearns for progress of the marginalized and underprivileged. A Bachelor in Science, She has always been a methodical and conscious human being and have been playing the role of inspirer and a reformer with limited access to logistics and funds. That, however, has never deviated her from her goals of serving mankind and protecting nature. Her consistent efforts has led to establishment of the Terratribal ECS and her understanding of the present day socio-cultural aspects and need for sustainable way of living is, and always will be, our guiding light.
Deiva Oswin Stanley, M.Phll., Ph.D. Integrated ecosystems management specialist & mangrove ecologist Dr. Stanley holds a Ph.D and M.Phil in Marine Biology and Oceanography, with an experience that spans over 24 countries. She has held key position with UN FAO and worked with leading consultancies such as Mott Macdonald, SMEC, FCG ANZDEC, RAMBOLL, TÜV SÜD, GFA-KfW and Gujarat Ecology Commission & Gujarat Institute of Desert Ecology extending her expertise to various terrestrial, coastal and marine projects.
Anu Wazir is an Environment/ESG Consultant with 18 years of experience in Environmental and Social (E&S) Assessments. Her experience during this time has ranged from conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessments and Environmental and Social (ESDD), developing Diligence Environmental and Social Management Plans and Systems. In addition, she has developed Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) and conducted ESMS audits as per multilateral and bilateral funding agency requirements for organisations across multiple sectors. She has also conducted Ecological and Biodiversity assessments, and Bat and Bird Studies for renewable and large infrastructure projects across India. She is a Certified Internal Auditor for Integrated Management Systems: "Quality Management System (9001), Environment Management System (14001), and Occupational Health and Safety (18001). Anu is fully familiar with Indian environmental and social regulations and international reference frameworks such as IFC Performance Standards, World Bank, Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to list a few.
Anu has conducted work in a wide range of countries, including India, Uganda, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Philippines and Vietnam.
Dr. Purkayastha is the General Secretary of ‘Help Earth’, A society for promotion of science and conservation of biodiversity and a member of IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group & Skink Specialist Group, Amphibian Network of South Asia and Indian bird’s conservation network. With a Ph.D. in Zoology, he has described 22 new species of amphibians & reptiles and published more than 100 research articles over a two decade-long carrier
Mr. Bhattacharjee is the Founder Director of Kumbhi Kagaz Pvt. Ltd., which promotes wetland conservation by creating chemical-free handmade paper from invasive water hyacinth. He is a naturalist, a certified snake handler and venom extractor, serving as an executive member of Help Earth and working with the Assam State Zoo in Guwahati.
